STEVE GLAZER

Receiving my degree in Geology from Boston University in 1985, and being from Texas along with the downturn in the petroleum industry, I needed a plan. Based on my grades in a college level gemology course, it was suggested that I apply to the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). While in residence at the Santa Monica, CA campus for a couple of years, I completed my Graduate Gemologist, Jewelry Manufacturing Arts, Faceting, and Jewelry Design courses. As a new Gemologist, I began my career. Working with some of the finest independent jewelers around the country, I honed my skills, even becoming one of about 400 Certified Gemologist Appraisers in the United States though the American Gem Society. I have had extensive sales training with Rolex, Breitling, and Tag Heuer. With my love of diamonds and gemstones, I was nicknamed “the diamond whisperer” by a client and my co-workers! My wife and I recently moved to the Memphis area to be with her family and care for her aging parents. In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf, tropical fish keeping, collecting sports memorabilia, and collecting gems and minerals. Come by our store! I would love to chat with you.
